Hot plate welding is a thermoplastic welding process in which electrically heated metal molds are used to soften the surface of the joined plastic parts. Since different mold surface temperatures can be applied to two different thermoplastic materials, this process is suitable for welding different materials. Hot gas welding is a welding method widely used to join thermoplastic profiles and sheets to produce very large parts. Suitable for smaller injection-molded parts that require some assembly, repair of thermoplastic parts and the manufacture of prototype parts.
